THE OBJECTIVE OF AGITATORS.
AN ILLUMINATING LETTER,
(By C»W«.—Pt«w Association.—Copyright.) LONDON. December 5.
Sir West Ridgeway, in a letter to tho Press respecting Indians in Africa, says that they are merely pawns in the game. The objective that Indian agitators havo in view is full rights, civil aud political, in every part of the Empire wherever Indians may choose to reside. The grievances in Africa are only being used as stepping stones towards a policy which is pregnant with peril to tho Empire.
"Wo are treading on ground," ho says, "that is ful! of pitfalls, and our Government must walk with the delicacy of Agag. Any unduo interference in Africa, or any attempt to coerce her, will bo resented by all the dominions, for on this question they stand shoulder to shoulder.
