MRS PANKHURST ARRESTED.
MILITANTS OUTWITTED
(By Cab]*.—Press As*oeistiotx.— Copyris&W LONDON, December 4. Mrs Pankhurst was arrested on her return from America. The police boarded the Majestic off Plymouth, and conveyed Mrs Pankhurst, who madeno resistance, to Devonport, whence they took her by motor to Exeter prison. Tho "armed forces" of the new Suffragette Army under Mrs "General" Drummond, had been waiting to resist the arrest. The militants engaged a tug to pursue tho police, but it was forbidden to approach the vessel. Suffragettes from all parts of the United Kingdom congregated on Plymouth docks, and they wero greatly exasperated when they found that they had been deluded. Others who had kept vigil throughout the nfght at Bristol prison, believing that Mrs Pankhurst would bo taken there, were molested by a crowd.
