(press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, D<*embci: 5. Judgment has been given by tlio Court of Arbitration in the case, ilary Ann ildntosh v. Will.am Ernest Hughes, claim for oompene»tion for tho loss of plaintiff's son, who waa. ridmg the mare Biddy at on 21st November, 1912. He was thrown "and died f:om his injuries on 6th Decembar. Mclntosh, who waa seventeen years oi age, -wae apprenticed to Pritchard, who stated that Hughes, the owner of B.ddy, had eelected Mclntosh. to ride in tho race, while Hughes swore that Pritchard had proposed Mclntosh as jockey, defendant assenting. Mr Justice Sim held that Mclntoah had remained for aJ purposes a servant of Pritchard, and waa. not entitled to recover any compensation from defeadaot.
