A meeting of the local members of the Seamen's Union was held last night when the men wero addressed by a member of the Wellington Strike Committee. It was almost unanimously decided not to work on the ships, or on the wharves after to-day. For somo days Richardson and Company's 6eamen have been working for their employers as watersiders. but this decision means that they will have to keep away from the wharves altogether. A vote of sympathy was passed with Richardson and Co. The men stated that their sympathy was entirely with the firm, and that they had no grievance, but when called out they felt it their duty to obey.
