(special to "the press.") WELLINGTON, December 3. Thomas Aclanu, an ex-army man, was fined £3 or two months for threatening behaviour during the riot in the Post Office Square. He was also ordered to find sureties, a personal bond of £50, and another of £10 to keep the peace for six months. When ordered to find a surety of £10' to keep the peaco Aclartd exclaimed bitterly, "May God save mc from my friends."

Counsel said accused had no property and would be obliged to spend six months in gaol.

Inspector Hendry suggested that the persons "who got the man into trouble should get him out, and added "they take care to get out of it themselves."
