AERATED WATER WORKERS?
AWARD
The award in' the Christehurch Aerated "Water, Workers*, and other Bottlers'.dispute baa been filed by the Arbitration Court. It provided for a 45-hour -week for drivers, from Apra to September (inclusive), arid a 56-hour the rest of the year.' These Jionr.s • shall include the timo occupied in necessary attendance to horses. A weekly hair-holiday; is provided. The minimum wages of drivers are to For those driving aud attending to one horse, £2 8s per week, for more than ono norse £2 12s per week. These wages are to extend to and cover attendance to horses on Sundays, weekdays and holidays. No- deduction is to bo made from such wages for any cause save for time lost through tho worker's own default or sickness. Casual workers are to be paid at tho rate of Is 3d per hour. i'outhe may be employed to assist carters u% a jninimunnrcekly wage of £1 10w. Over- • time ie to be psdd at tho rate of ls.4d per hour. Provision is made for the usual holidays for. under-rate workers, and for preference. ; The award is to apply only to employers carrying on business within a radius of .21 miles from the Chief- Post Office in the City of Christehurch. The award is to eomointd force- on December Bth, and «x>ntinoo in force till' October 18th, 1916. The award is based on-the last award, the terms of which were agreed on by :tho parties. principal alterations are these:—Tho wages have been made the same as in tho general drivers' award; the hoprs of work in summer have been reduced from 59 to 56 per week.
