ASHBURTON.
There was a small attendance at the weekly stock sale iield at tho Ashburton yards yesterday. The yarding of sheep totalled 737, and included &J fat owes, 94 fat wethers, 15 fat lambs. 1 fat hogget, and 558 stores. Prices were as follow :- v -Prime butcher's ewes, woolly 19s to 22s 7d, others 16s to lite, fchorn 11s 6d; prime woolly wethers 20s 3d to 2os, shorn 17s y<l to 20s 7d; fat lambs ISs. There was a fair demand for the small yarding of store sheep, and sales were:—loo failing-mouth halfhred ewvs and 105 lambs (all counted) 13s 7d, 120 sound and failing-mouth three-quarter-bred ewes and 130 lambs (all counted) 12s lid, 73 six and eight-tooth and fail-ing-mouth halfbred eivos and S3 lamb* (all counted) 14s, 39 scund-mouth merino ewes and 3"S lambs (all counted) 11s 7d, 25 sound and failing-mouth crossbred dry ewes los, 6 crossbre<l ewes and 7 lambs lls Id. There was a small yarding of cattle, and fat cows made £8 2s 6d; fat heifers £S 2s 6d to >J 15=;, yearling heifers £2 10s. larger sorts £3 10s, cows (springers) £4 15s.
