RANGIORA MARKETS.
There was a fair attendance at the Rangiora market yesterday. In the stock yards there was an entry of 1500 sheep, of which 400 were fat; 100 cattle, and 100 pigs. Prices were: —Fat lambs, 16s to 19s; shorn fat wethers, 20s Gd to 23s Id; shorn fat ewes, 15s 4d to 20s 6d; shorn fat hoggets, 17s to 19s 3d; shorn store hoggets 14s 6d to 15s 10d; shorn failing moutu ewes and lambs (all counted), 12s to 12s 9d; unshorn ewes with lambs, lls to 14e 9d. Cattle—Fat cows, £7 10s to £9 15s; fat heifers, £6 17s to £7 10s; yearling cattle, £3 to £3 17s 6dj eighteenmonths cattle, £4 to £4 12s 6d; calves, 35s to 50s; dairy cows, £4 10s to £6 10s; springers, £6 15s to £8. Pigs— Baconers, 50s to 675; stores, 38s to 455; small pigs, 13s to 225.
In the produce market prices were :— Heavy crossbred sheepskins, &; medium, 7s 3d; lighter. 5s 6d; merino sheepskins, Gβ. 4d; lambskins, 2s 3d; pelte, Is; calfskins, 3e 9d; hides, 6Jd per lb; blackwool, s£d, fleece wood, 72d; crutchings, s£d; fat, ljd. Poultry— Roosters, 6s couple; hens, 3s 3d; ducks, 4s 2d. Chickwhcat, 3s 10d bushel; oats, 2s 4d; feed barley, 3s; blue peaa, 3s; crushed beans, 3s M ; grass seed, Is 6d; bran, os &d per sack; sharps, 9s 6d; pigmeal, 9s; oatshcaf chaff. 3s Cd; strawchaff, Is 6d; potatoes, 2s 6d to ss; new potatoes, 2Jd Ib; green peas, Is 3d peck.
