The only business doing in the grain and produce market outside of co! f. tal shipment, is in oatsheaf chaff, for which there is a good demand, and up to £3 15s is being paid at country stations. Tho opening of the port has enabled delayed orders for flour for the northern ports to bo filled. The grain market remains at a complete standstill. The undermentioned are the prices paid to farmers at country stations, i'reo of commission, sacks extra, except where otherwise stated :-*- Wheat—Nominal; Tuscan 3s 6d, Hunters 3s 7d to 3s Bd, Pearl 3s 8d to 3s 9d. Oats—Nominal; Gartons A grade 2s to 2s Id, Duns Is lid to 2s, Danish Is lOd to 2s, Algerians Is 9d to 2s. Ryegrass— ls 6d to 2s 3d. White Clover—Sd to 9d. Cowgrass—-Prime samples, 7d, inferior 5d to 6Jd. Flour— £9 per ton, 1001b bags £9 10s, 501b bags~--£9-los, 251b bags, £10. £i 10s f.o.b. per ton. Bran—£4 15s local. Pollard— £6 per ton. Oatmeal--£l4 per ton. Oatsheaf Chaff—£3 10s to £3 15s for good samples. Peas—Partridge to 3e 6d, Prussian Blues 2s <3d to 2s 9d. Beans—3s to 3s 3d. Linseed—£B 10s to £9.
