Ihe Auckland Association wrote, stating that it was not possible to accept the suggestion to play Otago this year, but suggested that Wellington should play at Dunedin before Christchurch, and if so Auckland would do tho same when travelling south two years hence. It was agreed to fall in with the suggestion if Wellington was agreeable. The Otago Association wrote, suggesting February 13th, 14th and 16th as dates for the return match against Canterbury, at Dunedin, provided thoso did not clash with tho dates of the Australian team's tour.
