STRIKE MEETING AT RANGIORA.
TO THK EDITOR OF "THB PRESS." Sir, —This gathering was very orderly, "Rod Feds.'" being scarce here, and most of us having old-fashioned ideas of fair play. In this we of course differ from that centre of culture and good manners, Woolston. A man named Voyco had & lot to say, and said it very drearily. H© afterwards thanked us for a "patient" hearing. He certainly did tax our patience. After giving what h© called "true facts," h© started out to make vulgar remarks about th© Premier. Some idea of his keen sense of humour may be gathered from th© fact that he referred to Mr Massey as "Bladderheaded Bill"—with two comrades on the platform who are bald! Ho also spoke sneeringly of the Premier as "That old breeder of ostriches"; "He knows no more about politics than a Taranaki cow does of a holiday." Mr Voyce then gave us some advice about next election. We shall remember it, and any Red Fed. candidate will have a rude awakening when the numbers go up.—Yours, etc.,. cutzen.
