If anything there is a rataer' better enquiry from the north, and business has been done at _3 2_d for A grade Gartons, 2_ lid for B grauc, and _s id for B grade Sparrow bills, f.0.b., s.i. This is equivalent to Is -id for A Gartons. Is 7_d tor B grade, and Is 7d for B grade Sparrowbills, o.t.c.s. At the present time business is only of a haud-to-mouth nature. Kyegr__> —Tho only business passing in this commodity is retail, and a fair trade is being done. Chaff—-Cnaif is in tair supply, and good quality stuff is worth up to £3 53 near stations. . . ; Potatoes—The highest prico paid for | old tubers is about £2 10s, down to £2 \ ss, but. they aro not in big demand. A'shipment of new potatoes will arrive by the Wanaka from Auckland in about five days.
