Sir Alfred Cteild, head of the Cancer Research Department, Middlesex Hoe-, pital, state* that cases exist for which, radium is useless. The dieeaee ha* a tendency to affect many of the internal organs, placing it at present beydnd tbo reach of radium in ihe*e casee, but when the disease i» localised, the results axe sufficient to justify eaying that treatment by radium and radium emanations is being attended by greater, /- brighter, and more confident hopes of success than have ever attended any remedy except operating.
