TROUBLE SPREADING
ULIMAROA'S CHEW GIVES NOTICE.
(Received November 28th, 9.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 28. The shipping trouble threatens to spread nnu involve tho Huddart, Parker Co.'s steamers. : The sailors and firemen on the Ulimnroa, -liio to sail for Wellington at noon to-morrow, gave twenty-four hours' notice on the return of the vessel from bunkering at Newcastle this morning. The Seamen's Union will hold a special meeting to-morrow morning to consider the case. It appears that the men gave notice without consulting the union. Tho Aornngi is also listed to sail for San Francisco, via New Zealand, tomorrow. As the crew has already signed on, trouble is not anticipated, though thore are many rumours and much uncertainty regarding the position Generally. . The Tofua's cargo of. bananas is being rapidly unloaded. There has been no attempt at interference, thoush free labour is employed.
