LICENSING LAW.
CHANCES FOE THIS SESSION. (■TECIAt, TO ''TUB FKBSS.") WELLINGTON, November 27. A deputation of some twenty members of Parliament waited upon the Prime Minister this evening to urge that ah amendment of the licensing law in the direction of giving the prohibition cause a concession should be introduced this session. After listening to the representations of the spokesman, Mr Massey said that he could not at the moment commit himself, but Cabinet would consider the question at its tueeting on Saturday morning before some of its members left for Auckland to view the opening of the Exhibition. ' . In prohibition circlee the hope is still entertained that the measure will bo produced, although it is recognised that in view of the lateness of the session and the desire of members to get away, the concession likely to be made will be smaller than might have been the case" had the Bill come down earlier It is thought possible that the change to be made may be confined to the national issue solely.
