Hβ declared tnat for the future the American Salvation Volunteers would work hand in hand with the Salvation Army, but it was unlikely that the two bodies would ever consolidate. The "Daily Telegraph" says that fourteen Continental sugar refineries have combined in an effort to force five outstanding refineries to join tho Trust. It regards this as a serious menace to English refineries, which produce half of Great Britain's requirements.
