LICENSING CASES.
(rr.j»s association tkuegbaji.) ' DUNEDIN, November 26. At the Police JSourt this morning, Mr Widdowsou, S.M., gave judgment in the cases against Joseph Duncan Winter, William Winter, and Lucy Winter, who were ' charged with breaches of the Licensing Act at Green Island. The Magistrate said with regard to the information of allowing liquor to be sold on the premises after hours, that the evidence ehowed that the liquor had been consumed in the stable, but there was not sufficient evidence to connect-the licensee (Joseph Winter) with it. The case was dismissed. In regard to the charge of selling liquor on Sunday, preferred against William Winter and Mrs Winter, tho case against the son was dismissed, and the latter was convicted on her own plea of guilty and fined £3 and costs. - • . —
