LEAD TO LIBEL ACTION. (By Cable.—Preas Ai»ociation.— Copyright.) BRISBANE, November 26. In the libel' action brought by the Premier (Mr Denliam) against Senator Ferricks, defendant denied that, when returning thanks on tho declaration of the poll, ho charged Mr Den4»am with using the Government's money to fight the Labour Party. What he said was that public money had boon used. He referred to Mr Denham's use of special coins. Witness, cross-examined, said that a certain paper had not reported the remark accurately. He never troubled to correct mistakes mado by the Press. Hβ quoted transactions of tho firm of Denhain Bros, to show that the present system of distribution was a largo factor in the increased cost of living.
