DUNEDIN, November 25. At Burnside to-day, 162 fat cattle were yarded. The bulk consisted of steers of good to prime quality, while tne entry also included a number of pens of very prime cows and heifers. Owing to butchers having supplies on hand from last week, there was not a very strong enquiry, and prices showed a decline of fully 15s per head. Best bullocks made £13 10s to £15 12s 6d, medium £10 to £13, light £8 10s to £10, best cows and heifers £11 10s to £13 10s, medium £9 10s to £10 10s, light £6 10s to £8 10s. Fat sheen —About 1713 wero penned, which proved quite sufficient for requirements. The demand was quiet from start to finish, with prices hardly up to those ruling last week. Owing to the quietness of the retail trade, butchers had- supplies on hand, and in consequence were purchasing to-day only on a limited scale. Best wethers in wool made 30s to 31s 9d, shorn 24s to 25s 3d, good wethers in wool' 26s to 235, shorn 22s to 23s 6d, light wethers in wool 23s to 255, shorn 19s to 21s, best ewes in wool 27s to * 29s 6d, medium 24s to 265, light 20s to 22s 6d. Fat Lambs —There was a larger yarding than usual, 213 being penned. There was a fair demand, but owing to the number forward prices were easier "by Is to Is 6d per head. Best made 17s 6d to 19s 6d, medium 15s 6d to 16s. • ' ■ Pigs—The yarding consisted of 29 fats and 25 stores. There was a small attendance of buyers for store pigs, antiprices showed a decline of fnlly 2s per head. Fat pigs sold at late quotations.
