SERVICES OF INTERCESSION AT THE CATHEDRAL.
In connexion with the strike there will be services of intercession at the Cathedral daily at 12.5 and 1.45 p.m. Each service will occupy ten or twelve minutes.
There has been a phenomenal rush on saddlery since the strike assumed serious dimensions in Christchurch. Nearly all of the saddlers have either hired or sold their secondhand saddles and bridles, and a large amount of new goods has changed hands also. Tlie livery stablekeepers have done good business in tbe hire of horses and their harness.
