BATTERED TO DEATH
(Received November 24th, 9.35 p.m.) SYDNEY. November 24. A tragedy occurred at tho Gladcsville Asylum. A patient named Samuel Dyer, after wrenching a bar. from his bedstead, battered to death another patient named Brown, who was asleep in an adjoining room. He also tried to kill two attendants, but was secured after a struggle.
Dyer is normally harmless, but is subject to mental storms.
