"CHERTSEY.
Mr C. L. Devereux, who has* been stationed at Chertsey for the past three, years, was, on his departure for Addihgton, entertained and prosented with a purse of sovereigns. Mr Bartos has taken up the position rendered vacant by Mr Devereux's promotion. *On Thursday evening tho Chertsey Domain Board's bathing ehed was totally destroyed by fire. The fire is supposed to have been caused by swaggers Tho building was valued at £35.
