Lady Jersey presided at the Victoria League's reception to Lord Emmott, chairman of the British Parliamentary Party. Three hundred guests, including tho Hon. T. Mackenzie, were present.
Lord Emmott said tho visit to the Dominions had impressed him that tho time had not yet come for any great organic change in the shape of Imperial Federation. The oversea Dominions wero mostly unprepared for anything of the kind. They should encourage interchange of visits because, within half a century, the bulk" of the Dominions' population would not 'have seen tho United Kingdom. Hβ paid a tribute to the League's work in prorooting knowledge about the oversea Dominions.....
