Joseph Davis, who told a sensational story that he kicked five plugs of gelignite off tho railway lino at Greimlane just before the night express passed, was himself arrested this afternoon on a charge of iaying osplotcrse in a public place. Ho is a hawser, . and the circumstance leading to Jus arrest was that the gelignite ho professed to have found on tho nuiffay lino on. Friday, and two plugs !« v ■gelifpiite found in. the *• Greenlane Railway Station last nignt, f were bound together with some peculiar kind of string which the detectives could not get matched in town.
