ARBITRATION WATERSIDES
GROWTH OF NEW UNION.
OVER. 1000 STRONG. (SPECIAL TO "THE PRESS.") WELLINGTON, November 20. The Arbitration Union of Watersiders continues to grow in strength daily, and to-day the total membership passed the 1000 mark. The recruits included a fair proportion; of erstwhile strikers.
So busy is the port at the present time that -work was found for every on© of the men, and employment could have been found for 50 more. The men offering, both from town and country, are of a. fine stamp, and their work is giving every satisfaction to their employers. The attitude of the strikers who have gone back to work is-.well expressed in the words of one of them who sought th© aid of a friendly pressman tlxis

The Arbitration business doesn't worry mc one way or the other, so why should I starve for other fellows' principles?" He joined "*"** union, and in the afternoon was wheeling a hefty truck alongside one of the big Homo boats.
