Dalgety and Co., Ltd., aro making big preparations for shipping Australian wool to America. Wool is now admitted free, but' prior to the passing of tho Tariff Act it was subject to a duty of lOd per lb. America offers prospects of unlimited trade, particularly when the Panama Canal routo is complete. Australian shippers are strongly advised to visit the United States and make their own arrangements, as prices are likely to become high.
