Wilson, Secretary of Labour. speaking at San Francisco, indicated that Congress was likely to be asked to provide laws to prevent Hindu immigration into the United States. The CommissionerGeneral of Immigration proposed visiting the Pacific Coast to investigate and report on the whole question. Test eases were now pending m the Courts whether Hindus from the Philippines should be allowed to enter the United States.
