OBITUARY.
THE REV. C. E. BEBCROFf. A. well-known Methodist minister in the- person of the Rev. C. E. Boecroft, died on Monday at tho Wesley Parsons£o. Mount Albert, Auckland, in his O&h year. Mr Beecroft, who vfas horn in Lancashire, entered the/ministry of the English Wesleyan Conference in 1869, and worked in Eur! and until 18S8. In 1391 he received an appointment iiridor'the-'New". Zealand Conferonce, from which time he oxercisod "a most efficient «md popular ministry in.many parts of. tho Dominion. While loyal to his own Church lie was a men of* broad sympathies and fino catholic , spirit. Tho highest' distinction which his Church <>ould bestow was given in 190S, when ho was .elected president oJ tho conference. Mr Boecroft was an able preacher, and a diligent pastor. ".
