Sir Joseph Ward moved to report progress, tne dtsc'*« ; on proceeding on tn.it question until 6.-10 a.m.. when Mr Massey announced that he had just receive., the sad intelligence of the death of Mr Georgo Laurenson, which occurred at *1 o'clock. He therefore moved thai the House adjourn till 2.30 p.m.. end the House rose at Cy.-io a.m. The House, on meeting this afternoon, transacted only formnl business, aud then adjourned until out of rcsDoct to the memory of the late Mr Laurenson.
Tfls understood that the stonewall will he continued to-morrow.
