Barton is touring the State, and delivering addressee. He states that negotions between Canada, Fiji, aod the Union Company are proceeding for the extension of the Australian-Canadian mail service. He is . inclined to a short extension only, for perhaps two yeaxs, his reason being that it might be possible to provide for a better service .with larger ships. Negotiations, however, will shortly be completed.
