The wool sales re-opened to-day, but the marktt was irregular. The top price for greasy wool was lid, and for scouied Is At the Homebush sales there was a good demand for sheep. Best wethers brought 15s; good, 13s to 14s. 'Ewes, best, 14s 6d; good, 13s 6d- Cattle —Values were firmer. Best bullocks brought £13 ss; good, £10 10s; bast cows, £10 ss; good, £7. Best beef, 37s 6d per 1001b.

Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cable message from their London office under date February 13th: —"Butter—Prices are gradually bicominjr lower. Since our last telegram horns averaging under lOoz in weight are 10 per cent, lower, whilst heavier are 10 per ceut. higher; prices of hoofs are unchanged. There is,no demand for bones."
