PRESIDENT'S CUP.
Lancaster Park v United.—On the first day the Lancastrians had made 247, and United 123 for seven wickets. The latter carried their score to 273 before the IWi wicket, fell (Bolton 45, Becket 89 not cvr>. Day 21). Harper and Eaton bowled best for the Park. In the second innings Lancaster Park made 130 for six wickets (Redpath 74 not out, Shallard 19, Winchester 14, Bush 10), and closed the innings. United went in a second time, and made 57 for one wicket (Cook 13, Becket 36). Sydenham beat Linwood by ten wickets (Merriman 49 not out).
The match, Christ's College and the Midland was concluded on the ground, when the former won by an innings and 6 rums. Scores: —Midland 106 and 53 (W. G. Garrard 22 not out), College 165 (Harper 47 not out, Overton 36, Wood 17, Bishop 11, Bean 15, and Lindsay 10). For the winners Harper took seven wickets for 21 runs, and Green bowled best for the losers^
