THE -VOLUNTEERS.

After an excellent week's training the Lyttelton Cadets yesterday morning broke up their camp. On Friday last there was a night alarm, and on Sunday a church parade at St. Johns Church, Woolston, where divine service was conducted by the Rev. A. C. Hoggins. The Lyttelton Brass Band accompanied the lads to and from the Church, and p—yed also in the afternoon, when the camp was open to visitors. The Lyttelton Navals have had their name changed to No. 6 Company New Zealand Garrison Artillery. fhe change is not popular with the men, as they fear it willjie followed by an alteration in their uniform, which will destroy their distinctive character as navals, and lessen their prestige.
