FACE TO FACE WITH RUIN.
PITIFUL STORIES OF THE AUSTRALLAN DROUGHT. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received Febraury 14th, 10.36 a.m.) SYDNEY, February 14. The Drought Relief Fund has reached £1500. Titiful stones of sufferings ara coming to hand from all parts of the country.
A sense of pride in the poor selectors of the back country prevents the full knowledge of the misery being known. Many, however, are on the verge of starvation. One family was found to be so poorly fed that the members were unable to walk any distance. Black ruin stares in the face of hundreds.
