Trepan, an undertakex, and Cirino, a barber, have been arrested on a charge of defrauding insurajice companies. The accused submitted themselves at tlie medical examination as robust substitutes for decrepit persons wanting to be insured, and thus had the decrepit people insured. By this means they defrauded the companies of £200,000 sterling. They treated the decrepit people well, and induced their surviving relatives to give evasive replies to the companies.
