A member of "The Press" staff called iast night upon Mr Nicolaa Krukotf, tiib accredited representative of the Russian . Ministry of Agriculture, and Inspector ot h'- Agriculture, who is at present on a visit r C J™ ,tehurc h. Mr Krukotf, who speaks •bnghsh fluently, said that, in obedience to a special Imperial order, he was engaged upon » tjro yeaj-s' of Australasia and Argentina. Xhe purpose of his mission was to get all available agricultural knowledge irom the various colonies, to ,?"-; .^f 11 tae different colonies and to collectj
mark, Norway, Germany and England on the same errand, and made three trips to America, including Canada in hw visit. He has written 12 books, containing tho experiences of his former travels, and these have been distributed amongst the Rufisian farmers. He came to Australia on December Ist last, and visited Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania. Having only observed the land in the immediate vicinity of Wellington, tie is not yet. prepared to give any of bis impressions regarding this colony. He visits tho Lincoln School of Agriculture to-day, and intends to go to Dunedin to-mor-row.
