ASHBURTON.
Our Aehburton correspondent reporte as follows: — . Wheat—There is no business to report. Some enquiry for old lines continue to come to hand, and some difficulty ie experienced by millers in obtaining eupplies. A few lines of new wheat are now in etook, but it will be come weeks before any attempt to thresh will be made, and it is doubtful if any farmers at all will risk stook threshing, as although millers are badly in need of the new grain, they are strongly adverse to this method. Oate—Short feed are in great demand for immediate delivery, but few lines are ready. Duns and Danish are fairly plentiful, but buyers of this description are scarce. Quotations for new' oate are: —Canadians (milling) 2s 2d to. 2e 3d, short feed 2s, Duns and Dankh Is 9d to Iβ 10d, at country stations, for prompt delivery.
