ROAD BOARDS.
AVON. j All tho members were present at a meetof the Avon Road Board. Correspondence w« received from Mr G. Yeatman, asking that the Lower Styx roadi be repaired. As be is the only user of the part of the road mentioned, the Board decided to try and arrange with him to keep it in order. A petition was received from ratepayers fronting on May's road, asking that one or more lamps be erected, and that some provision be made for drainage- The Chairman and clerk were asked to inspect and report to the next meeting. It was reported that several accidents had happened on the bridge on Hill's road at its junction with Shirley road, and it was decided to ask the St. Avbane Borough Council to construct a concrete culvert the full width of the road. The Board decided to call a meeting of ratepayers to consider the question pf asking tihe Sefwyn County Council to strike a rate over tlte whole district to cover oust of maintentnce end rebuilding of bridges. ' The matter of improvements on Walter's ■rooct was left over until tflie members had inspected the road. A further ballot is to be taken of those to be sued for unpaid rates.
