At the'r monthly meeting on Wednesi iv evening, the West Christchurch School iVnunitta? passed a motion placing on ;.>cord thcit appreciation of the services of the late Hon. W. Rolk&ton to tie colony, especially in the interests of education. On Sunday, at the Cathedral, at 11 o'clock, the Dean will preach a memorial sermon on tin? late Hon. W. Rolleston. In the evening hie Lordship preaches at St. John's Church, Latimer square. Sympathetic reference was 'made to the death cf the Hon. W. Rollcston at a meeting at- Lytteltou last night, and, on the motion of the Mayor, seconded by Captnin Whitney, a resolution of condolence was passed. Captain Whitney was a teaman on the vessel in which the late.
