(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAMS.) NEW PLYMOUTH, February 13. The Premier and the Hon. T. Y. founcan and party arrived here at five o'clock this morning from Palmerston. _The weather is too wet to permit of the "proposed drive to Waitara, but possibly a special train ' "will bef put on. The banquet to-night, celebrating the return of four liberal members for the Tatunaki province was a great sucoeen, and iraa Jargely attended. The Premier and the Hon. T. Y. Duncan were amongst the guests. The Premier dilated on the progress of the colony during the last ten Tears, and repeated the statement.that if Mr Cadman failed to float a company to ■work the iron industry the State would step in. Hβ anticipated era, long a united Liberal representation. A Conservative would be a thing- of the past, and would only be (found in the museums of the colony. WELLINGTON, February 13. Sir Joseph Ward left for the south tonight by the Mararoa. He joins the Mokoia at the Bluff on Monday for Melbourne.
