The tumbler for the Pactolus Company's No. 1 dreage only went up to-day, and there ■will therefore be no Teturn.
The Bkckwater Lagoons Company's wash ia improving, and 1 is now about 30ft deep. The dredge is a good l one, and i s working , well.
The Blackwater Eiver Company's claim i» looking well. The Trafalgar Company's face is now fair, 'but the wash is poor. The Leviathan Freeholds Company'e claim is showing an improvement. The Erickson'a Bewaird Company's dredge is •doing fairly well, 'but the quantity of ground is limited. Both *he Grey Ilivsr and Maori Gully Companies' dredges are advertised to be sold to the highest bidder. The San Francisco' representative tyovr inspecting beaoh. claims, with e> view of purchase, it is understood, has a new and improved method of treatment.
