MEETINGS OF CREDITORS.

T. JORDAN'S ESTATE,

The first meeting of creditors in the estate of Thomas Jordan, labourer, Christohurch, was held yesterday morning. The bankrupt's statement showed that debts amounting to £51 7s 9d were due to unsecured creditors, and that the va.ue of bankrupt'a furniture was under £25. Creditors to the amount of £5 and over were—Messrs J. Donaldson £12 3s Id, and J. Munnings £7 18s lOd. After coneiderab.e discussion the creditors expressed the opinion that the bankrupt, who is in steady employment, fhouid make some effort to reduce his liabilities, and the meeting adjourned sine die-
