The Chrietchurch Regatta, will take pace ■to-day st Stewart's Gully, Kauapoi, when a food afternoon's sport should he witnessed. Ixcnrsion trains wili leave the Ghrietchurch station at 12.35 p.m. and 1.25 pjn., and the trams leaving Cathedral squaro at 12.5 p.ni. and 1.5 p.m. will catoh the train* at Papanui. There are nine rowing events and c swimming rtoa on the programme. Stroke" suggests the following as -ikely winners: — Senior Koura—Canterbury 1, Union 2, Amateurs 3.
