(FRK33 ASSOCIATION TELEQXAM.) DU'N'EDIN. February 10. * deputation from the Presbyterian Aslembly waited on Ac Congregational Union this morning ie the union, of churches, and formally presented a copy of a. resolution passed ty ihe Assembly at their meeting in Wellington last November. The Rev. H. Millar read a paper on special missions and our churches. The Registrar's report compared the position i.f the Church in 1885 with the position vn 1903. In 1885 there were 19 Congregational- Churches, with a membership of 1682, and to-day there axe 24 churches, with a membership of 2002. ' The value of the 'buildings, etc., had increased 1 in the from £40,000 to £46,000. A motion ww carried expressing appreciation of the resistance offered by the Nonconformist <jhurobea of the Homeland to the Education Bill. In the evening the Rev. W. A. Evans rave an addwe on "The Basis of Authority."
