SOUTH AFRICAN STEAM SERVICE.
(FBBSS ASSOCIATION TELSGKAU.) WELLINGTON, February 9. The steamer Surrey will probably be the March steamer for South Africa under the Government contract. This steamer sailed from Wellington for South Africa, via Sydney and Fremantle, on the 13th November, and arrived at Durban on the 23rd December. She proceeded thence to Port Elizabeth and Capetown, eventually sailing from the latter port on the 26th ult. for New Zealand, via Albany. It is almost certain that the Sonth African steamer Kent will visit Lyttelton as an extra port.
