"A medical officer of the Scallywag Corps," writing from New Zealand, in a letter to "Dhe Times," states: —"Hundfeds of us are waiting pay allowances, despite repeated applications to the War Office." .After cabling to tihe Cape and Natal the War Office declare.; that all officers' claims had been fully settled, though the special gratuity ie withheld in cases where the accounts are not satisfactorily rendered.
