AMALGAMATION OF INDUSTRIES.
(SPECIAL' TO "THE rRESB.") DUNEDIN, February 6. Mr J. T. Mcßride, of Christchurch, who has been here several days, publishes long articles by arrangement with the Chamber of Commerce and the Press, on New Zealand's home industries, the object of (which is to advocate tlie amalgamation cf certain industries. He states that all the manufacturers of fanning implements have agreed to come in, and that only one signature is required to complete the transaction. Mr Mcßride leaves by the North express this morning.
