There was a bit of a run on North Be&cbea at 26s 3d. Two American experts are here with a view of investing largely in mining if satisfied with prospects. The test crushing of tea tons of quartz from tlie Garden Gully mine gave Bdwt 3gr per ton. The reef is 12ft thick, and has been traced for 5 chains, and found to be at a depth of 375ftr With a battery of 20 stamper* tho claim will pay very well indeed. So far it is in the hands' of a few gentlemen, who have not yet decided whether they will float into a large company or not If they, can make financial arrangements they will keep it to themselves.
