In connection with the recently-formed Association f6r promoting enquiry into the question of the food supply in war-time, the Duke of Sutherland presided over a largo meeting at which the Association was duly initiated. A deputation was appointed to interview the Government on the subject. Lord Strathcona said it would bo a great relief both to the Motherland and to the colonies if measures for the Security of the food supply in war-time were initiated.
