The following players have been selected to represent the Next Thirteen against the Canterbury Eleven at Hagley Park today, commencing at two o'clock sharp: Boddington, Blunden, Fisher, Frankish Harman, Howell, Kinvig, M'Murray, 01Imer, PrebWe, Ridley, Weston, and Wigley. On Thursday the Bangiora dub played the local veterans, the latter w&minsr by runs. The Veterans mad« 129 (H. Banks 70. J. W. Foster 19, J. Judson 13), and Rangiora Thursday team 101 (not out) 43, Amos 13, Sinclair 10 being the chief ecorens. A match between teams representing Beath and Co. and the Lyttelton Methodists, played on Thursday, was won by the former by 50 rone. " (FROM A CORRESPONDENT.) WELLINGTON, January 30.
